"How do you feel towards social stratification in your society?"
"That's a hell of a question."
"It's a hell of a world.”
"Well, I don't like it, and I cannot find any reason to believe that we're incapable of implementing a socioeconomic structure that dismantles the 'elite' without corrupting something else. It's nonsense that we must have the rich and the poor; this is the attitude of people sick with the belief that money is real, and it should direct us towards a purpose.
Look, I'm not for capitalism, communism, socialism, or what have you. I am for novelty, of embracing the fact we share a planet rich in resources, and we are an extraordinarily intelligent species that can do better. I know, the psychology at hand in the dominant culture which influences minds to fetishise material or even status renders such a state of unity almost impossible. But I'm in this machine, working a dead-end job every day to pay bills and I cannot with one ounce of my intellect agree that humans aren't capable of something better. There's no way you can fly a human to the moon while a human starves for food in the gutter without there being an incredibly major fault in the system at hand. People laugh at me for this. Headstrong individuals always tell me that people won't work and no one will do anything if there isn't a motive, an incentive that provides a selfish reward. However, they're entirely overlooking my perspective. I'm suggesting our scientific discoveries inflating common knowledge which has propelled technological advancements does not reflect where we're economically at; it doesn't make sense. I alone cannot answer this, but humanity can."
