Normal life

Some want a normal life, to be a husband or wife, with a home in the suburbs and a job that can see them through the demands of modern living; which is all well and fine. But for me, I'm facing something else. I can't submit to such a path that in my opinion, is laid before us to sell an unnatural lifestyle and colourless dream in exchange for security. It's such a con, such a trick to scam one from the only real value they have which is their time; their ability to think for themselves and embrace novelty. We give this over to so many different people, corporations and ideologies. We follow because to truthfully lead implies walking alone, and that's frightening.
